Who we are
Budapest Parliament Ticket Alerts is a free service run by a private individual, who is the data controller. Contact: privacy@budapestparliamentticketalerts.com.
We are not affiliated with the Hungarian Parliament (Országgyűlés) or jegymester.hu.
What we store
- Your email address and the dates you picked.
- When you signed up and confirmed, and which alerts we sent you, so you don't get the same alert twice.
- A one-way scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for up to 24 hours, only to stop abuse of the sign-up and feedback forms.
- If you fill in the optional feedback form: your answer, your words and the name you typed. It is not linked to your email address, and we only show it on the website if you tick the box allowing that.
- The country you signed up from (two letters, worked out by our host from your connection; we don't keep the IP address itself).
We also count visits anonymously: for each day we keep only a counter per page, country and referring website. No IP address, no cookies, nothing that identifies you or your device.
We don't use cookies, ads or third-party trackers, and we don't build profiles.
Why, and on what basis
We use your data only to send the alerts you asked for, plus the one email asking you to confirm. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you give by confirming your email. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
How long we keep it
- Everything about you is deleted automatically the day after your last chosen date.
- When you unsubscribe, it is deleted immediately.
- If you never click the confirmation link, it is deleted after 2 days.
Who processes it for us
We never sell or share your data. Two providers handle it on our behalf, under data processing agreements:
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the website and database.
- Resend, Inc. delivers the emails.
Cloudflare and Resend may process data outside the EU, in the United States. Such transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in their data processing agreements.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Most of this you can do yourself from the "Change dates" link in any alert email. For anything else, email privacy@budapestparliamentticketalerts.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority, such as the Hungarian NAIH (naih.hu) or the one in your own country.
Affiliate links
The tour buttons link to GetYourGuide and Viator as affiliate links. We earn a small commission if you book through them. Clicking one shares nothing about you with us or with them beyond what any link does; what those sites do is covered by their own privacy policies.
Checking for tickets
To find open slots, one shared automated check looks at the public ticket pages on jegymester.hu every few minutes. We don't log in, book or buy anything for you. You book directly with the official ticket shop.
